Ivan & Donnalee

My favourite quote ever is the famous one by Mark Twain: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Not always easy to live by, but makes that little fire inside you, start to burn.

When I think of Donnalee and Ivan, the above quote is very relevant. They are adventurers taking life one step in front of the other, but with great zeal. They do it in business, travel and especially in relationships.

I have spent a bit of time with both of them together, in a business environment and in a personal journey, and there was absolutely no difference. They take their business just as serious as their relationships yet they enjoy their work as much as their travels and time with people. Always with a lot of passion and heartfelt in the mix.

I had the privilege of capturing one of their journeys on camera, a journey they had dreamed of for a long time, and together with Rovos Rail, they explored, dreamed and discovered the way to their new City. Life changing and definitely very brave.

Every time I say good-bye to them, it feels like family. I drive away thinking how blessed I am to be able to share my time, talent and just plain friendship with these amazing people I get to work with. People that inspire me, people like them and the thousands of other clients I have had the privilege of photographing across the world. Working hard at relationships, business and more, whilst exploring, dreaming and discovering this beautiful thing called LIFE.
